A large part of Recovery and Advocacy lies in Peer Support!

Drop-in Centers are part of this important peer support! Did you know Allegan has one? Here is a little bit about it:

Horizon Circle of Friends is a drop-in center located in Allegan County. We were founded on May 18 2000.

Vision Statement: Horizon Circle of Friends strives to enhance recovery of people with mental illness through group cohesion, peer support, and community education.

Mission Statement: Guided by board members, Horizon Circle of Friends promotes  recovery from mental illness through a caring, sharing, and peer supported atmosphere.


Some Goals for Horizons Circle of Friends:


•    Increase the mental health of their community
•    Solicit funds from charitable organizations
•    Increase hours of operation
•    Promote Recovery
•    Reduce stigma
